Not intended for permanent applications, Caplugs TH Series Hex Socket Threaded Plugs are black-colored plugs that are designed to temporarily protect internal threaded ports during low-pressure testing and in-plant processes by keeping them clean from moisture and other contaminants. These plugs feature a hexagonal design socket, which allows for easy installation and removal. This also makes them more secure and more difficult to tamper with, as hex keys are required to tighten them. For your convenience, our TH Series plugs are available in six different sizes to fit NPT thread sizes ranging from 1/16”-27 to 1”-11-1/2. This particular model plugs NPT Thread Size 3/8"-18. Oil- and heat-resistant to 250° F (121° C), Caplugs TH Series Hex Socket Threaded Plugs are constructed from high-density polyethylene (HD-PE), a lightweight thermoplastic polymer known for its high strength, density and durability. It is exceptionally resistant to a wide range of chemicals, including acids, bases and solvents, as well as resistant to environmental stress cracking and corrosion.
